Roberto's Profile
Roberto Hausman was born in Uruguay. He obtained his Bachelor of Education from Alberta in 1983. His fields of specialty are Psychology, Personal Motivation, Public Relations as well as Excellence in Customer Service. He has delivered lectures and seminars in the Caribbean: Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, San Andres, Cuba, as well as Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, for over 20 years, both in Spanish and English. Roberto has been a columnist for three different publications in the city of Toronto, and at the present time he is the publisher/editor of "Latin Life News". He has been interviewed on television, radio, and newspapers such as the Globe & Mail, Toronto Sun, the Star, From North to South, Career Guide, Metro Today, Toronto 's Guide, The King, and others. Roberto produces and hosts the tv show "Latin Life", which has aired for 7 seasons in three different tv stations in Toronto, and many areas of Ontario. His passion for life can also be appreciated through his music, and he has written more than 150 songs. His band's name is “Roberto's Latin Sound.” He obtained first place in three different music festivals, as well as having participated in a Radio Station contest with “CFTR 680” in Toronto, where his theme song “Ocean Wind” obtained first place out of 500 contestants. Roberto has travelled extensively throughout Central and South America. He is fascinated by the ocean, the beaches, the food, the music, & the people. He participates in all types of community events where the beneficiaries are always children, needy people, the Hospital for Sick Children, and many others. He is always willing to give a helping hand to those who really need it. In his journey as an educator, lecturer, and philanthropist, he has influenced thousands and thousands of people from all over the world. It's worth mentioning that he enjoys doing “interesting” things, sometimes pushing himself to the limit. He has ridden camels, an elephants, and of course, horses. He has parasailed and climbed mountains. His enthusiasm for sports has diversified into different activities such as raquet ball, karate, boxing, swimming, and long walks. He is the President of the “Latin American-Canadian Commerce Board" and has been or is, a member/sponsor/director or executive of 27 other organizations and programs. “Inch by inch, life is a cinch; by the yard it is hard,” is one of this favourite sayings, as is “Above the clouds, the sun is always shining.” Roberto lives life to the fullest and he believes in “Carpe diem” - “seize the day.”
